I have been working on Zvezda's neat Bf109F kit. The kit was released a few years ago and was praised generally for its good level of detail. more recently Eduard have released 109F kits in 1/48 which are very good but the Zvezda is still a very good model.
If there is one negative it's that the kit is a bit fiddly.. But it's nothing that careful assembly will not address.
Here are some images of the completed build.
JG 54 aircraft are notorious for their use of none standard camouflage schemes and this is the subject of a lot of debate on forums. I went with a scheme using 2 greens. his made sense to me as JG54 operated in the Leningrad area which is reasonably forested.
I painted the model using Gunze Lacquers and free handed the camo scheme with my airbrush. I use an old Olympos Airbrush with a 0.3 nozzle for most of my painting.
Anyhow I hope you like the finished model.
