Hasegawa 1/48 A6M2 'Zero' Operation AI

Here is my Operation AI ( Pearl Harbour) Zero Built from the 1/48 Hasegawa Kit.

Hasegawa have produced a number of boxings of this kit over the years and I used the 'Super Ace' boxing for this build.

The kit goes together and Hasegawa put special effort into the cockpit on this kit as its nicely detailed OOB.

I only added seat belts and these are different in that they are injected plastic from Fine Molds.


The scheme is pretty simple and I took time to paint the Hinomaru markings on the aircraft..

I cut my own masks from Tamiya masking sheet and I used Gunze paints for all the paintwork.

Here is the finished model..

I used the kit decals for the code numbers and stencils..

Weathering was kept light as these early Zeros were very well maintained.
